I did it.. I really did! I actually grew up and decided it was time to do it! It was time to stop worrying about what people think and just hit that “Oh so scary” button. It amazes me how one little two syllable word can cause so much fear in so many otherwise confident people. If you’re still asking yourself what I’m on about… I am talking about the scariest button on the internet. We’ve all thought of pushing it from time to time. Ladies and gentlemen, I finally clicked.. The Youtube PUBLISH button!!
Oddly, as I type this I’m realizing that there is a publish button at the top of this page for publishing blog posts. It feels so much different to me because here in the blogosphere, No one can see me cringe!! In the world of video, I’m right there for all the world to see and make fun of. Yup, I’m right there center screen, bald head and all. In the case of my first video, I’m showing folks that own a motorcycle like mine how to change out their old tired lighting for more modern LED lighting. It’s quite a process that many folks fear because it involves actually cutting up part of the motorcycle. I tried to break it down and make those that would try it what exactly is involved so they can feel like they are better informed before cutting up their own bike.

If you are interested in motorcycles at all, perhaps you’d like to check out my new channel as well. It’s over On Youtube for all the world to see. At the time of this post there’s simply a few shorts and my first long form video but, I’m having some fun learning the ropes right now. I’m going to try to publish (eep.. there’s that scary word again) every other week and I’m looking at different types of motorcycle related content including : Repair and maintenance on my Royal Star Venture and my First Generation Ninja, Rides to cool places in and around the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley of British Columbia, as many local events as I can get to, and hopefully some tips and tricks to make longer trips more comfortable for you and less stressful on your bike.

Is there a long term goal here? Sure.. I want to make millions off Youtube revenue and live the high life. HAHAHA I’d like to create the kind of community I wish existed when I started riding. Somewhere people aren’t afraid to ask questions. A place for newer riders to connect with experienced riders that won’t just blast off and leave them behind. Somewhere older riders can go and not feel like a “Geezer on a bike”. Mostly, I want to share with whoever wants to watch, read or just listen, some great rides, some cool places and even a little wisdom from this old guy that’s been riding bikes for.. more than a few years and has been turning wrenches even longer.
If you don’t mind, head on over and check out my first real video HERE and please hit that like button!! It really helps get a new channel going!!! Thanks!
Hope to see you out there
Nick
